The foundation stone of the Cathedral was laid in 1899 and the building itself, Romanesque in style, continued to grow over the years.


The Cathedral is home to the iconic Spire of Hope, intricate mosaics by the Martin sisters, elaborately carved stonework by sculptors Rosamond Praeger, Morris Harding and Esmond Burton, stunning stained glass windows and more!
